Producing wine, here in our zone, means - whether we like it or not - “making bubbly.” We’ve owned land and vineyards at Erbusco since 1452, and for many, many centuries we were happy to make nothing but good red wine, so it wasn’t easy for us to join the brilliant, showy local mainstream, which is a recent development. On the contrary, we are comforted and stimulated by the awareness of our background, which we would never, for pure speculative opportunism, want to deny. Continuing to bottle wine like this, we will always want our children to remember where we come from, handing down the legacy, from generation to generation, of who we are. Di mano in mano, from hand to hand.
